Srinagar, April 21: Chairman Hurriyat (G) Syed Ali Geelani, Friday said that BJP national General Secretary, Ram Madhav’s statement about ‘human shield’ incident illustrates country’s national policy about Jammu & Kashmir and that the statement is an indication that “something bad is in store” for Kashmiris.
Geelani said that the recent statement of state minister Chander Prakash Ganga may be his “personal opinion”, however Madhav’s statement is “serious” as he figures among the top ranking leaders in BJP cadre.
“They have declared war and his statement stands testimony,” said Geelani.
“It is clear chit to forces, a red signal asking forces to go ahead with killings and serves an apparent threat to people,” he said.
Geelani called state minister C P Ganga’s statement as “ridiculous”.
“We have no system to check these elements, otherwise he should have been in jail,” he added.
Calling the NC leaders reaction “just a mockery”, Geelani said that their main aim is to remain in power and they should have submitted their resignations, however, “their rhetoric speaks that how much sincere they are with the nation”.
“I fear that something may happen in future and some bad events are in store for us,” said Geelani and in his appeal to UN General Secretary, OIC, impressed to take cognizance of threat statements of BJP leaders.
Geelani asked international agencies to break their silence and said, in case any untoward happens to people, they will be held responsible.
“If UN wants to save our new generation from Indian barbarity, it has to rise above statements,” said Geelani.
“The statement testifies that forces enjoy backing and free hand and I feel worried about the situation arising out of this development, said Geelani. We are facing Hindu terrorism sponsored by Delhi and possibly they may repeat 1947 like massacre when 15 lakh people were forced to leave their state,” Geelani feared.
